* Permanent, full time
* Based in Melbourne, VIC
* You will attend full-time training in the office (Monday to Friday) for approximately 6 months and then transition to hybrid working where you will work 3 days in the office and can work the remaining days from home.
What's the role?
As a Credit Assessor, you will support the mortgage application process for applications received from our Third-Party Broker Network, handling both simple and complex cases, such as PAYG, LMI, Construction, Guarantor, Home Guarantee Scheme and more.
Key responsibilities
* Reviewing applications for accuracy and compliance with quality standards
* Assessing creditworthiness and serviceability while adhering to lending regulations
* Referring applications beyond credit guidelines to managers
* Building strong relationships with brokers by providing guidance and maintaining trust
* Ensuring audit, compliance, and quality standards are met to minimize risk
* Offering advice on application structuring, credit policy, and documentation
What do I need?
* Outstanding stakeholder management skills with the ability to liaise, consult and advise internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Demonstrated problem‐solving and decision‐making skills
* Finance/banking background desirable
