Morgans is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join our Brisbane team, providing trusted legal advice to the Board, executives and senior management across a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters.
What you will be doing
Advise on legal, regulatory and commercial matters, including financial services regulation and ASIC/ASX obligations
Manage complaints, claims and disputes, liaising with advisers, clients, insurers and external lawyers
Draft, review and advise on contracts and commercial arrangements
Provide guidance on privacy obligations and company policy development
Support the Company Secretary with governance documentation and Board papers
What you will bring
Admission as a solicitor in an Australian jurisdiction
Experience in private practice and/or an in‑house legal role, ideally in financial service
Strong knowledge of financial services regulation and key legislative frameworks including ASIC and AS
Experience with complaints handling and external dispute resolution
Clear, practical drafting and communication skills for senior stakeholders
