About the role

Stratec Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Finance and Administration Officer to join their team in Mooloolaba, Queensland. In this key role, you will be responsible for managing the company's financial operations and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the business.

What you'll be doing

1. Handling accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, reconciliations, and making payments
2. Preparing and processing payroll, including calculating and remitting taxes and other deductions
3. Maintaining accurate financial records and preparing monthly financial reports
4. Providing administrative support, such as managing office supplies, coordinating travel arrangements, and assisting with other ad-hoc tasks as required
5. Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting, tax, and other regulatory requirements
6. Contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the finance and administration function

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar finance and administration role, preferably within a small to medium-sized business
2. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and demonstrated experience with Xero.
4. Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
5. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate financial records
6. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
8. A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance is highly desirable
