Starting Pay Rate: $19.00 - $21.00 per hourbased on previous experience and education.
Job Description
* Prepare, season, and cook food as directed, meeting special dietary instructions as required.
* Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
* Provide direction to lower levelled Cooks as assigned.
* Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
* Clean and maintain assigned station and overall kitchen through practicing good safety and sanitation.
* Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes.
Qualifications
* Culinary degree and 2 years of cooking experience OR 5 years of related cooking experience
* Experience and proficiency in both a la carte and production cooking
* Valid food handler certificate
* Able to meet the physical demands of the position
* Self-motivated
* Able to work under pressure
* Excellent communication skills
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
