About Information Technology Directorate

The NSW Department of Education's Information Technology Directorate (ITD) is transforming. We've streamlined our structure, strengthened our technical capability, and aligned every team to deliver real, lasting value for students, teachers and schools across New South Wales.

There are exciting opportunities within Strategy, Planning & Delivery. We align our strategic focus and IT portfolio of work with key government policies and priorities to ensure we do the right work at the right time. We deliver large and complex programs together with driving commercial negotiations to deliver superior value the department.

About the role

* You will play a key part in supporting the IT Directorate's annual planning & performance cycle
* Conduct analysis, research and investment modelling to support planning & prioritisation activities
* Create data-driven insights to support the creation of technology roadmaps, and performance measures and reporting to track outcomes and benefits Maintain planning frameworks and contribute to continuous improvement of practices
* Provide support to workshops, communications, and engagement activities to build shared ownership and commitment to ITD Digital Strategy and associated roadmaps.

About you

* Demonstrated experience in business planning, data or finance is highly desirable
* Be confident managing stakeholders at all levels
* Strong communication skills
* Good attention to detail
* The ability to work in a matrix environment
* Be a champion for change

Key Knowledge and experience

* Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

* Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as education, business, ICT discipline, management, and/or equivalent knowledge and experience.
* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

Renewal is not required after the WWCC expires, as long as you remain in a non–child-related role. Employer obligations only apply while the WWCC is valid.
