We are seeking a culturally driven and strategic Leasing Manager to lead the tenant curation and leasing strategy for a heritage-inspired retail development. The successful candidate will curate a tenant mix that celebrates arts, culture and heritage through boutique F&B, artisanal crafts, fashion and creative studios – while driving occupancy, rental yield, and meaningful community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Leasing Strategy & Tenant Acquisition
* Develop and execute leasing strategies that align with the development's identity and vision.
* Curate a diverse and meaningful tenant mix including independent retailers, cafes, galleries, and cultural brands.
* Identify, source and engage tenants aligned with the cultural and heritage positioning of the asset.
* Conduct property tours and presentations for prospective tenants.
Lease Negotiation & Documentation
* Negotiate commercial terms including rent, tenure and fit-out contributions.
* Prepare and manage lease documentation in compliance with relevant regulations.
* Liaise with legal, asset and project teams for seamless execution.
* Serve as the primary liaison for tenants throughout the leasing cycle.
* Support onboarding, fit-out coordination and ongoing relationship management.
* Provide guidance to tenants on best practices for operating in heritage or culturally sensitive spaces.
Market Analysis & Reporting
* Conduct regular market research to stay ahead of trends in arts and cultural retail.
* Track and report leasing progress, rental performance and tenant feedback.
* Benchmark against comparable heritage and cultural retail destinations.
Marketing & Community Activation
* Work with marketing and events teams to position the property as a destination for culture, creativity and community.
* Support curation of cultural activations such as artisan fairs, workshops, and exhibitions.
* Partner with relevant tourism, arts and government bodies to expand reach and visibility.
Compliance & Heritage Sensitivity
* Ensure all tenants comply with regulatory and heritage preservation requirements.
* Coordinate with authorities, planners or conservation experts where necessary.
* Advise on renovations, fit-outs and event approvals related to heritage restrictions or guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Property, Business, Arts Management or a related field.
* Experience: More than 5-10 years in leasing or property management, with preference for experience in cultural or adaptive reuse spaces.

* Understanding of retail market trends and heritage asset positioning
