About the Position
The doctors and clinical staff practicing at Strathalbyn Family Medical Centre have been looking after the health of the local Strathalbyn community since 2005, having been established as a branch location for Mt Barker Medical Clinic. Our new purpose-built location on Braemer Drive, at the heart of Strathalbyn, our clinic is a one-stop location for quality and friendly healthcare.
About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Practice Nurse (Registered Nurse) to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a caring nature, high level communication skills and attention to detail. While General Practice experience will be looked on favourably, this is a great opportunity to gain experience in General Practice, with plenty of support and room to grow.
The Practice Nurse will:
* Be willing to learn and work as a team to provide culturally appropriate assessments, therapeutic and education services for clients with chronic disease as required
* Be flexible with availability, with a willingness to cover staff leave and sickness within the clinic
* Participate in Quality Improvement Activities
* Adhere to relevant professional Code of Ethics guidelines
* A willingness to implement and adapt to change when required to benefit patients, staff, and the wider group
About You
* Current APHRA registration as a Registered Nurse is essential
* Flexibility and willingness to work a range of shifts
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong computer literacy
