Transportation Manager Position Overview

This position plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth grocery deliveries across the Sydney basin. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing labour resources and meeting day-to-day service level targets.
The key responsibilities of this position include:
* Planning and managing labour resources to meet agreed standards in operational procedures
* Coordinating the dispatch of trucks, drivers, and shipments to ensure on-time deliveries and pickups
* Ensuring all drivers and operational staff follow OHS and site safety requirements
* Maintaining a customer-first mindset and maximizing daily operations profitability
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:
* Previous experience in a similar transportation management role
* A positive attitude and appetite for learning
* Demonstrated experience in operations, CoR, and Fatigue Management
* Exceptional communication skills – written and verbal
* Computer literacy skills – MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook
