We're looking for a detail oriented and highly organised Accounts Payable Officer to join our team at North East Water
The
Accounts Payable Officer
supports a range of finance related activities including the responsibility of ensuring timely and accurate payment to North East Water's suppliers.
In this role you will ensure the business is well regarded through the continuous promotion of outstanding customer service with all of North East Water's internal and external stakeholders.
This role is a
full-time opportunity,
including a monthly RDO and flexible work options.
Key Responsibilities
* Payment to suppliers and reconciliation
of accounts payable.
* Data entry of invoices
, ensuring invoices are
correctly coded and authorised
.
* Liaising with staff to
ensure purchase orders are completed appropriately
and can be
matched to invoices
.
* Reconciling supplier statements
monthly.
* Maintaining accurate records
and payment details
in the financial system supplier master file.
* Prepare
end of month accounts payable
process and work with the finance team to enable end of month reporting.
* Maintaining a working knowledge and understanding of the
current Australian Government Taxation laws surrounding GST.
* Supporting other finance functions and positions as required.

Key Selection Criteria
1. High level of
attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
to ensure the integrity of data is correct.
2. Computer skills across a range of packages
including Microsoft Office, financial systems and a web-based banking system.
3. Knowledge and understanding of the current Australian Government Taxation laws
surrounding
GST
(Goods and Services Tax).
4. Experience working for a medium to large organisation
processing a
high volume of invoices
accurately and in a timely manner.
5. Completion of secondary education with
experience in accounts payable.

Position Information
* An attractive salary range of $65,028 to $75,160 plus 12% superannuation, depending on skills and experience.
* This is a
full time, ongoing
position.
