About the Role
This role supports the mental health and wellbeing of Australian Defence Force personnel by providing high-quality psychological services within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
* Conduct intake and risk assessments, support walk-in presentations, and develop tailored case formulations and treatment plans.
* Deliver evidence-based interventions and coordinate care with medical practitioners where medication or further intervention is required.
The position involves working with structured clinical workflows, seeing approximately three to four clients per day, and having dedicated administrative time to manage records and case notes.
Responsibilities and Requirements
* Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Minimum 2 years post graduate experience in the last 5 years in mental health in a primary health or specialist mental health setting undertaking comprehensive mental health assessment and delivering a range of evidence based 'Focussed Psychological Strategies' as defined under the Medicare Schedule.
* Knowledge of relevant State/Territory policies and procedures and national standards governing mental health practice (desirable).
* Knowledge of the ADF Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2018-2023 (desirable).
