Protective Security Incident Management AnalystJob Description:Australian Citizens residing in Australia with Baseline Clearance only respond.Contract start 01 September **** to 12 months, 12 months extensions.Protective Security Incident Management Analysts.The role is within the Protective Security Operations Section (PSOS) and will work with key stakeholders internally and externally to the department.
PSOS are responsible for the day-to-day management of security arrangements and provide risk, policy, and governance advice to ensure the effective management of security risk and practices for the departments people, information and assets.The role requires an experienced security incident manager (excluding cyber incidents) to review the existing controls, assess the adequacy of the existing arrangements, provide uplift recommendations, develop processes and procedures, assist with exercises, and provide training.Services to be provided include, but are not limited to the following:In line with best practice, develop the following.Security incident management plan (roles and responsibilities, communications plan)Incident management plan on a pageStandard Operating Procedures (SoPs)Security incident templatesSummary plan templateCommunication templateSenior Executive engagement and sponsorship modelMaturity modelling pathwaysTraining package may include:Presentation slidesDepartmental Security essential training (internal personnel training and awareness package)Every application requires to address selection criteria as part of application submission.Minimum 3 years experience in security incident managementComprehensive knowledge of protective (excluding cyber) security incident management.Working knowledge of the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and Australian New Zealand Counter Terrorism Committee (ANZCTC) governance and policies.Certification and/or membership to relevant professional organisations including certification in any of the following: Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Associate Protection Professional (APP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP).
