Offer description

Overview

The Tasmanian Community Fund (the Fund) was established in 1999 to invest in and strengthen Tasmanian communities. Since its first funding round in 2000, the Board has awarded more than $144 million to over 3,260 projects right across the State. The Fund is governed by the Tasmanian Community Fund Act 2005 and receives an annual reserved by-law appropriation. The Board has broad discretion to allocate funds to projects that contribute to vibrant, capable and resilient communities.

Board members play an important role in ensuring that the objectives of the Fund are met and that public money is used wisely to benefit Tasmanians. Members work together to guide the Fund's strategy, assess grant applications, and engage with communities across the State.
