SAP Functional Lead
Are you a skilled SAP Finance professional looking for a long-term opportunity to grow within a dynamic operational environment? We are seeking a Brisbane-based Finance Specialist to join a high-performing team, initially focusing on supporting a legacy SAP ECC system while preparing for future large-scale projects. This role offers the perfect blend of Business-As-Usual (BAU) support and project involvement, providing a clear path for professional development and a high likelihood of contract extensions.
What You Will Do:
* Develop and define comprehensive functional solutions that ensure systems remain scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business strategies.
* Contribute to the technical design of new platforms and features, leveraging hands-on SAP experience to deliver specific functional requirements.
* Work closely with business leaders and product owners to capture requirements and translate pain points into viable technical solutions.
* Maintain high-quality documentation for solution architectures and system components to ensure clarity for all project and operational stakeholders.
* Support the operational readiness and BAU support model, identifying performance bottlenecks to optimize system reliability and scalability.
What You Need to Apply for This Role:
* Minimum of 3–4 years of functional experience within SAP FICO modules, with a strong understanding of legacy SAP ECC systems.
* Proven ability to design and implement technical solutions while adhering to governance standards and regulatory requirements.
* Strong collaboration skills with experience working alongside technical teams and stakeholders in a mid-tier, generalist capacity.
* Experience in full life-cycle implementation or system support, focusing on both functional and non-functional requirements.
* Specific experience with Central Finance or the Tagetik system is highly desirable and will be considered a significant advantage.
