Job Title: Mental Health Specialist - Employment Support
The role of the Psychologist is to provide client-centred care across multiple dynamic teams, where psychological expertise directly contributes to personal recovery, social connection, and long-term independence.
**About the Role:**
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Psychologist who thrives on purpose-driven work. The ideal candidate will have the ability and willingness to work onsite at various sites in North East Sydney.
About You:
Full registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is required. Clinical experience delivering evidenced based psychological interventions is essential. You must also be able to demonstrate high level of knowledge and experience conducting holistic assessments and completing clinical formulations. Substantial knowledge of the evidence base for trauma informed person-centred interventions is also necessary. Additionally, highly developed consultation and negotiation skills, including the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, internal and external agencies, and stakeholders are required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering psychological interventions in collaboration with Global Skills through the GSPlus program, providing short-term, evidence-based therapeutic interventions that address mental health challenges impacting employment readiness. - Contributing to an innovative pilot clinical and vocational readiness program designed to support individuals with lived experience of the justice system, involving delivering both individual and group-based interventions within a structured 12-session model, focusing on mental health, identity, and sustainable change. - Working within a supportive clinical framework, providing client-centred care across both 6- and 12-session models, with a maximum of 5 clients per day — allowing for meaningful therapeutic engagement and a strong focus on quality over quantity.
