**Position Information**:
The Ponds High School, located in the suburb of The Ponds in the north-west of Sydney is a 7-12 comprehensive high school that has over 2,100 students in Years 7-12. Fifty-three per cent of these students come from a non-English speaking background and 0.4 % identify as ATSI. The school shares a site with Riverbank Public school and is a part of an cutting-edge and energetic community approach to teaching and learning. The school has developed outstanding teaching and learning programs including; a strong welfare approach to student wellbeing, a culturally inclusive program and support for the creative and performing arts. The school has two support classes, a HP≥ class in each year and has an active BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) program using the learning platform Canvas. The Stage 5 and 6 elective structure provides extensive choice for students including specialty Mathematics electives. Current whole school learning and teaching priorities include; using CANVAS for effective learning and a Teams structure to support SIP priorities including; Assessment, Choice Theory, Literacy, Numeracy, Aboriginal Education, HP≥, EAL/D and School Culture.
**Selection Criteria**:
- Approval to teach Mathematics 7-12. Approval to teach Mathematics Extensions 1 & 2.
- Experience successfully teaching curriculum and effectively maintaining a positive classroom environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working collaboratively with faculty members on curriculum, assessment and reporting.
- Evidence of effectively using technology for administration and for pedagogy.
- Demonstrated ability to differentiate activities for a wide range of student needs.
