Creative Industries Development Specialist
Permanent Full Time
Salary Range: $97,245.14 - $105,466.60 per annum plus 12% Superannuation

The Role
This exciting new position will support the activation of the Creative Industries Training Centre, build strategic partnerships, and deliver industry-focused programs that support growth, innovation, and sustainability across the creative arts sector.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement training, skills development, and professional pathways for creative industries practitioners.
- Support the activation and strategic development of the Creative Industries Training Centre at the Gippsland Performing Arts Centre (GPAC).
- Develop partnerships with industry bodies, educators, and government agencies to enhance opportunities for local creatives.
- Deliver industry-focused education and public programming initiatives that align with creative industries development.
- Ensure funding obligations are met through program design, delivery, and reporting.
About You
You will bring a strong understanding of the creative industries landscape, along with experience in delivering professional development programs, building strategic partnerships, and managing funding obligations. Your ability to design and deliver impactful training and engagement initiatives will be key to supporting the growth of local creative talent.
You will have
- Tertiary qualification in Arts Management, Creative Industries, Education, Business Development, or a related field, or substantial experience in creative industries training and development.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering professional development programs, industry engagement initiatives, or creative sector training that support skills development and career pathways in the arts and cultural sector.
- Proven ability to develop effective partnerships with stakeholders.
- Strong industry engagement skills, with the ability to develop and maintain partnerships with peak bodies, training organisations, and funding partners.
- Project management experience, including budgeting, funding compliance, and evaluation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including public speaking and presentation experience.
