Company Description
Rely Pacific Laundry Equipment (RPLE) is Australia's exclusive distributor for Dexter Laundry - one of the world's most trusted commercial laundry equipment brands. Operating from the Gold Coast and serving customers across Australia and the South Pacific, RPLE has built a strong foundation across coin-operated vended laundries, on-premise laundry (OPL) installations, and commercial laundry fitouts across multiple high-growth verticals.
Backed by private equity and entering an aggressive national growth phase, RPLE is now seeking a General Manager to lead the business through its next stage of commercial expansion and operational scale. This is a rare opportunity to hold full P&L accountability in a business with genuine market pedigree, a premium product, and a clear mandate to grow.
Role Description
The General Manager will lead RPLE with full accountability for revenue, margin and EBITDA - building the structure, systems and leadership capability required to scale a performance-driven distribution platform. Reporting directly to the Board and Private Equity owners, this role requires a commercially aggressive leader who combines strategic growth capability with operational execution. This is not a caretaker role - it's a builder's role.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute a national growth strategy aligned to the Board's investment thesis
* Drive revenue expansion across priority markets, customer segments and channels - lead pricing strategy, margin optimisation and commercial governance
* Hold full P&L accountability - revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, budgeting and Board reporting
* Optimise inventory, working capital and supply chain to support growth without compromising cash discipline
* Oversee warehouse and operational functions - efficiency, accuracy, SOPs and scalability
* Commercialise the after-sales and service division as a profitable, standalone business unit
* Build leadership capability across sales, service and operations; recruit and structure for national expansion
* Act as the primary operational interface with the Board and Private Equity owners
Essential Experience
* Proven senior leadership experience (GM, MD, Commercial Director or equivalent) in a growth-focused distribution or product-led business
* Demonstrated P&L ownership with a track record of delivering measurable revenue and EBITDA growth
* Strong sales leadership capability with direct involvement in winning and scaling commercial activity
* Experience managing inventory-intensive or working-capital-heavy environments
* Financial acumen aligned to private equity performance expectations
* Strong governance, reporting and stakeholder management capability at Board level
* Exceptional leadership presence and executional discipline
Highly regarded
experience in equipment distribution, industrial supply, building products or adjacent sectors; background operating in investor-backed, founder-led or high-growth environments; and operational oversight exposure within warehouse or equipment supply models.
If you thrive where pace, accountability and commercial delivery are non-negotiable - we'd like to talk.
