Job Purpose
An exciting opportunity for a Container Surveyor to join our new team
This role will be responsible for conducting container/cargo pre-damage inspections and cross-check logistical data to ensure accuracy and efficiency when containers are delivered into container yard.
Key Accountabilities
* Conduct inspection of incoming containers to shipping line and IICL standards
* Prepare and process quotes for repairs to containers
* Collaborate with Maintenance & Repair team to determine specific grade requirements for containers dependent to shipping line requirements
* Use internal computer systems to complete quotes and recordings associated with cargo standards
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will possess the following:
* Institute of International Container Lessors (IICL) certifications are desirable but not essential.
* Minimum 2 years container surveying experience
* Experience using 1-Stop Modal (advantageous)
* Knowledge of Container Parks/Empty Depots
* Need to be prepared to work outdoors in cold/hot/wet conditions every day
* Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
* Strong attention to detail
* Knowledge of CEDEX coding (advantageous)
