About The Role
The Catering Assistant will provide essential support to the Catering Chef and the wider food services team. Key duties include preparing and assembling a range of simple food items, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety, and ensuring compliance with all food safety regulations. This is a casual position, with the successful candidate commencing as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities / Duties
* Support the day-to-day operations of the food services team, including catering requests, within the guidelines and processes set by the College
* Preparation and assembly of simple food items including but not limited to sandwiches, wraps, and fruit cups.
* Assist with over the counter serving of staff and students during break, including handling payments through our point-of-sale service
* Partake in general cleaning duties within a kitchen, food preparation area, cold and storerooms, including the cleaning of cooking and general utensils used in the kitchen.
