The Venue and Performing Arts Technical Services Team delivers creative and technical expertise across a diverse range of events, including performing arts productions and corporate functions. This role will primarily focus on providing high‑quality lighting operation and design services for our community and commercial clients. There may also be opportunities to support other production areas such as audio, vision, and staging.


About the role


As Venue Technician (Lighting) you will undertake operations, design and maintenance for the delivery of a wide range of events and performances.


Some of your key responsibilities will include:


* Deliver creative and diverse lighting services for performances
* Facilitate design and consultation work with clients
* Provide technical support and maintenance to facilities and clients
* Create and develop event documentations and proofs

About you


To be successful in this role you will have:


* Qualifications and/or extensive experience in theatre lighting equipment, inclusive of Grand MA2/3 and visualisation software
* Experience in designing, delivering and operating musicals and live entertainment
* A current Queensland C Class drivers licence
* Working with Children Check – Issue of Blue Card and Positive Notice Letter or Exemption Card
* Ideally possess a basic Riggers Certificate, Elevated Work Platform Certificate and experience in theatre sound and/or audio-visual equipment


A pre-employment medical and criminal history check will be required for this role.

This is casual position with an hourly rate commencing at $42.56 per hour plus 12.5% superannuation.
