Job Description:
As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the venue, ensuring that guests receive exceptional service and that the venue runs efficiently. You will be the key point of contact for the front-of-house team and will work closely with the kitchen to deliver a seamless and memorable dining experience.
Your leadership and organizational skills will be critical in managing staff, maintaining high service standards, and optimizing operations to meet our goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership: Lead the front-of-house team, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure exceptional service delivery.
* Operational Management: Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, and service flow management.
* Guest Experience: Maintain a strong presence on the floor, engaging with guests to ensure satisfaction and handling any issues or complaints with professionalism and care.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen and bar team to ensure smooth coordination of service and that all food and beverages are delivered to guests at the highest standard.
* Staff Development: Conduct regular training and development programs for front-of-house staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable about the menu, beverage offerings, and service expectations.
* Inventory and Ordering: Assist with managing inventory, including monitoring stock levels for front-of-house supplies and collaborating with the bar teams on ordering.
* Compliance: Ensure that all health, safety, and licensing regulations are adhered to, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager or Supervisor in a high-end, fast-paced venue.
* Strong leadership and people management skills, with a focus on team development and creating a positive work environment.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to resolve issues professionally and maintain strong guest relationships.
* Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and service standards.
* RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification is required.
