We are proud members of the esteemed Relais & Chateaux association, operating within a unique and beautifully restored Castle. Our Sales Manager will create personalised 5* experiences for guests, capitalising on the hotel's royal grandeur and regal atmosphere.
About Thornbury Castle Hotel
Located on 15 acres of breathtaking land, our hotel is the only Tudor Castle in England offering luxurious accommodations. Following a multi-million pound refurbishment, we have revitalised the castle's splendour, incorporating modern amenities while preserving its historic charm. With 26 bedchambers and suites, an award-winning restaurant, bar, and two distinctive meeting spaces, Thornbury Castle provides an unforgettable setting for relaxation and indulgence.
Our primary objective is to offer 'refined and personalised hospitality', allowing guests to unwind and experience the luxury of being treated like royalty in a one-of-a-kind environment.
We seek a highly motivated, dynamic professional with a passion for the hospitality industry.
1. Pursue new business opportunities and enhance sales for Thornbury Castle Hotel
2. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets
3. Support Hotel service and strategy by regularly updating action plans and financial objectives
4. Attend industry events to promote the hotel and generate leads
5. Monitor market trends and competitor activities, adjusting sales strategies accordingly
6. Collaborate closely with the Hotel Manager and Management Company to ensure all strategies and campaigns align with business needs
7. Lead and motivate the Sales and Events team, supporting them in achieving sales targets, handling calls and enquiries, and producing event proposals
8. Foster relationships with new and existing customers to facilitate future bookings, through sales calls, FAM trips, and industry events
9. Identify marketing opportunities and coordinate with the marketing team to create promotional material
Minimum Requirements:
1. A minimum of 3 years' experience working in hotel events/sales
2. A proven track record of achieving sales targets
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
4. Excellent negotiation skills
5. Ability to be a strong team member and leader
6. On-site work with flexibility to travel and adjust working hours according to business needs
