Festivals Communications and Partnerships Officer

Job No: MER569 | Location: Coburg | Working Arrangement: Hybrid | Role: Part-time permanent – 0.6FTE (based on 38 hours per week)

About the role

We are seeking an innovative, passionate and experienced arts communications and partnerships professional to join our dynamic festivals team. The role works under the supervision of the Executive Producer Festivals to plan, develop, and implement the marketing plans, audience engagement and development functions for the Arts Merri-bek festival program, and to identify and maintain strategic partnership and sponsorship relationships across the program.

Responsibilities

* Plan, develop and implement marketing strategies and audience engagement activities for the Arts Merri-bek festival program.
* Identify, negotiate and maintain strategic partnership and sponsorship relationships.
* Collaborate with a small, dedicated team to deliver innovative outcomes within tight timelines and budget.

Qualifications and Experience

* Demonstrated marketing experience in the arts, festivals, events, film or music industries.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in writing and editing for diverse audiences across a range of mediums.
* Ability to work flexibly and cooperatively as part of a team in a demanding, fast‐paced environment with competing priorities.
* Experience in sponsorship and stakeholder management, including delivering stakeholder events.
* Ability to deliver quality and innovative outcomes within tight timelines and budget.
* Strong analytical, strategic and creative thinking skills.
* Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and high‐level computer literacy.
