Primary objective

Deliver high-level strategic guidance and leadership within the Office of the Chief Clinical Information Officer, overseeing the development,

implementation, and maintenance of clinical governance frameworks, standards, and processes that support NT Health Clinical Information

Systems. This includes managing the transition of Acacia to routine operations.

Context statement

The Core Clinical Information Systems Renewal Program (CCSRP) in DCDD Enterprise Project Services is completing the delivery to NT Health of

Functional Group 1 of the new NT Health clinical information system, Acacia, in 2025. Clinical and design governance of Acacia will transition

from CCSRP to the OCCIO in NT Health. Governance structures to support both Acacia and continuing "legacy systems" are being established

within the OCCIO.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Lead the development and maintenance of the ongoing clinical and design governance of Acacia as it transitions to business as usual, using

leading industry and Australian standards.

1. Lead the development and maintenance of ongoing governance by NT Health of Acacia version release management.
2. Lead governance of Acacia optimisation post-delivery, including application of the InterSystems Trakcare Advance program.
3. Lead the review and development of ongoing governance for retained (legacy) clinical information systems and ancillary systems.

4. Cultivate and sustain strong, effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure a collaborative and results driven approach and ensure that

design decisions for Acacia and other Clinical Information Systems are led by relevant end-users and that processes embody principles of Human

Centred Design.

1. Work in alignment with the NT Health senior leadership to ensure Clinical Information Systems align with NT Goals and Strategies
2. Manage an effective and efficient secretariat service for all OCCIO clinical information systems governance committees.
3. Facilitate the production, communication, review, maintenance and monitoring of NT Health clinical information systems governance

arrangements.

9. Maintain effective reporting systems through governance groups regarding all areas of responsibility including issues and defect management.

10. Lead the ongoing coordination of the provision of NT Health subject matter expertise to CCSRP as required.

Selection criteria

Essential

1. Comprehensive understanding of information systems governance practices and methodologies.

2. Expert knowledge of industry and Australian standards in ICT governance frameworks, systems and processes.

3. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to persuade and influence stakeholders through effective

change management.

4. Proven ability to achieve results by building organisational capability and responsiveness, marshalling expertise, driving and managing change.

5. Proven performance in sustaining productive working relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

6. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a diverse workload and competing priorities effectively.

7. High proficiency in drafting accurate and concise meeting records, reports, briefings and submissions, developing recommendations, and

monitoring and follow-up on action items.

8. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates NT Health values of being Safe, Responsive and Kind.

Desirable

1. Degree or qualifications in relevant discipline such as ICT, business or law.
