Responsibilities
* Oversees and supervises the daily operations of the Facilities Electrical Department, including Lead Electricians and Electricians, to ensure uninterrupted support of casino operations
* Directs work by assigning, prioritizing, and reviewing work orders, preventative maintenance schedules, and electrical projects across all shifts
* Provides consistent leadership, technical oversight, and direction to ensure electrical work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable electrical codes, Cal OSHA requirements, and company standards
* Serves as the primary escalation point for complex electrical issues, emergency situations, operational impacts, and personnel matters within the Facilities Department
* Ensures all electrical systems, infrastructure, and equipment throughout the property are properly maintained, inspected, tested, and repaired to support continuous 24/7 operations
* Oversees and supports the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of electrical systems, panels, lighting, controls, and related infrastructure
* Supports troubleshooting and coordination of electrical control systems and automated equipment as applicable to property operations
* Applies guest service principles when coordinating electrical support for internal departments, ensuring timely communication and follow-through
* Collects, reviews, and compiles operational data, reports, and documentation related to electrical maintenance, inspections, and projects
* Reviews electrical inspections, readings, logs, reports, and documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards
* Coordinates electrical support for departments and property-wide initiatives
* Enforces Company, Departmental, Cal OSHA, and safety policies, procedures, and regulations, promoting a strong safety culture within the Facilities Electrical Department
* Identifies potential safety hazards, equipment risks, or system failures and ensures timely corrective actions are implemented
* Coordinates and oversees electrical work performed by external contractors and vendors, ensuring adherence to scope, safety, and property standards
* Assists Facilities leadership with workforce planning, staffing needs, onboarding, training, performance feedback, and corrective action processes
* Investigates, documents, and addresses employee performance and conduct issues in coordination with Facilities leadership
* Maintains clear and effective communication through email, meetings, reports, and shift pass-downs to ensure continuity of operations
* Collaborates with other Facilities trades and internal departments to support overall property functionality and guest experience
* Performs all other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
* High school diploma or GED required
* Minimum of five years of related electrical experience in a commercial or industrial environment, preferably within a large, multi-facility operation
* Prior lead or supervisory experience required, with demonstrated ability to oversee staff and manage daily operations
* Occupationally significant combination of vocational education, apprenticeship training, in-plant training, and on-the-job training
* Appropriate electrical certification or license required
* Working knowledge of applicable electrical codes, Cal OSHA regulations, and safety standards
* Demonstrated ability to supervise, train, coach, and lead staff while holding team members accountable to performance and safety expectations
* Ability to read, interpret, and apply blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation
* Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Must be at least 21 years of age
* Ability to obtain and maintain a gaming license
* Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including working around energized equipment, climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and lifting up to 50 pounds
* Ability to pass background checks as required by the Gaming Commission
