ABOUT THE ROLE:
Are you passionate about sustainability, public service, and ensuring efficient operations? We're looking for a dedicated Waste Management Program & Contract Oversight Officer to lead and manage waste services that make a real impact on our community and environment.
The Waste Management Program & Contract Oversight Officer is responsible for overseeing the execution of waste management projects and ensuring the effective management of related contracts. This role ensures the delivery of high quality waste infrastructure and services while combining strong project management with contract oversight to meet timelines, stay within budget, and comply with relevant regulations and standards.
TO BE A SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE:
The successful candidate will have:
* Strong management and contract oversight experience.
* Hands-on experience in the waste management industry, with a solid understanding of its challenges, opportunities, and best practices.
* Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders, contractors, and the community.
* Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Contract Management, or a relevant discipline related to waste management.
* A robust understanding of waste management issues and contract management within an environmentally sensitive context.
* Demonstrated expertise in managing multi-million-dollar service contracts.
* Well-developed communication skills to facilitate effective information exchange.
