**The Role**
Based out of our client site office at Bayswater Power Station, Singleton NSW, and reporting to the Business Manager (Power), your role will see you work closely with the Inspection and NDT team across a variety of on-site Power projects including shutdowns in the Hunter Valley. In this role, you will perform a combination of both technical and supervisory duties.
**The day to day**
You can anticipate plenty of opportunities to learn and progress with your day-to-day involving:
- Provide/coordinate Engineering, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Metallurgical solutions to common issues on boilers, turbines, and ancillary plant;
- Assist with the coordination of up to 30 engineers, plant inspectors, and NDT technicians during plant outages and shutdowns, including emergency repairs;
- Perform plant inspections as required;
- Compile technical reports based on inspection and NDT results; Workscope review and resource allocation;
Forming part of a skilled and high-performing Projects team, you will have the support of a progressive and experienced management team and be exposed to a variety of interesting and challenging work. **The essentials**
We are seeking a motivated individual who will ideally possess the following:
- Power Plant (both boiler & turbine) knowledge and experience, preferably in an engineering, inspection, or advanced NDT role;
- Excellent organisation and supervisors' skills;
- Degree or certificate in Mechanical / Materials Engineering and/or AICIP qualification;
- Understanding of non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques and or attained current ISO equivalent NDT qualifications;
- Either Mechanical Fitting or Boilermaker Welding trade certificate or experience in heavy industry or power plant.
