Job Description
The Community Resilience Lead: Disaster Recovery will be responsible for collaborating with various stakeholders to develop and implement effective strategies for disaster resilience. This includes working closely with regional councils, community groups, and other key stakeholders to identify areas of need and develop tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement disaster resilience strategies in collaboration with stakeholders
* Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and other activities to build capacity and awareness among community members
* Collaborate with regional councils and other organizations to leverage resources and expertise
* Maintain accurate records and reports on project progress and outcomes
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
* Postgraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., emergency management, public administration, social sciences)
* Minimum 5 years' experience in disaster resilience or a related field
* Proven track record of developing and implementing effective disaster resilience strategies
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Current driver's license and ability to travel frequently
* Legal right to work in Australia
