About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager to lead our front-of-house team and oversee the day-to-day operations. This role is hands-on and requires a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest standards of service. You will be responsible for delivering seamless dining experiences, supporting and developing your team, and ensuring smooth and efficient restaurant operations.
The Role
* Lead, train, and mentor the FOH team to deliver exceptional service.
* Oversee daily operations including reservations, service, and restaurant presentation.
* Build strong relationships with guests, ensuring their expectations are exceeded.
* Manage rostering, payroll, and compliance using systems such as Deputy or similar.
* Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth coordination between FOH and BOH.
* Monitor and manage budgets, financial performance, and stock control.
* Maintain compliance with workplace health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
* Handle customer feedback and resolve service issues promptly and professionally.
* Drive a positive team culture with a focus on development, engagement, and retention.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Minimum 3+ years' restaurant management experience in an a la carte environment.
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
* Strong knowledge of hospitality operations, compliance, and industry best practices.
* Exceptional guest service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
* Ability to work under pressure during high-volume service periods.
* Experience with financial management, rostering, and stock control.
* A flexible approach to working hours – including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
* Tertiary qualification in Hospitality or Business (preferred but not essential).
