Marketing and Communications Administrator (Remote)The Australian Passivhaus Association (APA) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to leading change through education, promotion, and support for the delivery of Certified Passivhaus buildings in Australia. Our members include asset owners, contractors, consultants, and financiers who are pushing the boundaries of design and construction to create a healthier, net-zero, brighter future with Passivhaus.We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Marketing and Communications Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will work independently with minimal supervision, take full ownership of marketing activities, and execute them efficiently to meet business needs.This role is essential for promoting the Passivhaus Standard, raising awareness of APA's work, and improving communication with our members. It also involves supporting commercial units to increase education course sales and managing sponsorships and ticket sales for the annual THRIVE conference.Key Responsibilities:Implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to promote the Passivhaus Standard, APA's educational courses, and the organisation's initiatives under the guidance of the CEO.Manage the annual marketing calendar and campaigns across online and offline channels to boost awareness and engagement.Content Creation: Generate engaging content such as blog posts, articles, newsletters, and social media updates. Collaborate with APA members and subject matter experts to produce technical content that educates and informs our audience.Social media & website Management: Oversee APA's social media accounts, promote upcoming courses, events, news, and educational content. Monitor engagement, respond to comments, and update the website regularly to ensure it is current, user-friendly, and visually appealing.Event Promotion: Develop marketing materials and strategies for conferences, webinars, workshops, and site tours to maximize attendance. Create social media tiles, videos featuring sponsors, exhibitors, and speakers to promote events.Membership Engagement: Design and implement marketing and communication strategies to engage members and effectively communicate benefits and events.Public Relations: Build and maintain relationships with like-minded associations and organisations for strategic promotion of APA activities.Reporting and Analysis: Monitor marketing performance and use data insights to refine strategies.Qualifications and Skills:Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Experience in EDM marketing and executing successful media campaigns.Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools and practices.High attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.Studied or completed a bachelor's degree or equivalent in marketing or a related field.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in content creation, social media, and email marketing.Experience with website management and content management systems.Experience in event promotion and management.Proficiency in tools such as MailChimp, Canva, Buffer, Squarespace, Adobe Suite, and others.Knowledge of construction, sustainability, or architecture industries is a plus.Understanding of marketing campaigns' impact on sales and ROI.Values: Accountability, KindnessJoin us: Be part of a passionate team dedicated to advancing energy-efficient design and reducing carbon emissions.
