THE OPPORTUNITY
This is an opportunity for an Intermediate Accountant to join a growing Sunshine Coast office. In this role, you will work with a small, dedicated team of professionals alongside Senior Accountants and Assistant Managers, gaining experience to manage your own client portfolio. As part of a supportive team, you will report directly to the Partner, contributing to the firm's success while developing your career in a dynamic, technology‐driven environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Support a wide range of SME business clients across multiple industries
* Compile and finalise financial statements, income tax filings and activity report
* Generate insightful management reports that help clients make informed business choices
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
* Degree in Commerce or Business with a focus on accounting
* 2-4 years' experience in Australian public accounting practice
* Progress towards or completion of CPA or CA qualifications
* In‐depth understanding of Australian tax laws and regulations
* Eagerness to grow and refine accounting skills
* Enthusiasm for working with technology
* Xero certification including payroll
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
* Excellent client relationship, written and verbal communication skills
