About the Role:

If you're passionate about lifting standards, shaping best practice, and influencing meaningful change, this is an exciting opportunity to do work that matters

As a Self‑Assurance Partner at Bendigo Kangan Institute (BKI), you'll play a central role in strengthening the quality and integrity of education delivered across one of Victoria's largest TAFE providers. This is an opportunity for someone who is motivated by building capability, not just fixing issues. You'll help move BKI from reactive compliance to mature, evidence-based self-assurance by strengthening processes, supporting teams, and using data and insight to guide improvement.

In this pivotal role:

* You'll partner with educators and leaders to strengthen the quality of training and assessment across programs, supporting delivery teams with practical, standards-aligned advice and continuous improvement
* Using your vocational and regulatory expertise, you'll help interpret units of competency, design and review Training and Assessment Strategies (TAS), verify assessment tools prior to delivery, and contribute to validation activities to ensure assessment is fair, consistent and industry relevant
* You'll also support course design, teacher capability, and delivery readiness, helping teams meet ASQA Outcome Standards, Victorian funding contract requirements, other regulators, accrediting bodies and internal quality expectations, while keeping the focus on strong student and employer outcomes
* You'll join a dynamic, supportive team of eight specialists located across multiple campuses. Despite being geographically dispersed, the team maintains strong connection through weekly online catch‑ups and monthly in‑person collaboration days. This model offers both flexibility and community, giving you the freedom to work from various locations while staying engaged with your colleagues

With hybrid working arrangements and negotiable onsite days, this role is ideal for talented compliance professionals seeking flexibility, autonomy, and the ability to work from metropolitan or regional Victoria. Regular travel across campuses ensures variety in your week and the opportunity to build relationships across the organisation.

What We Offer:

* Flexibility that works for you
* Connected and supportive team culture
* Free onsite parking for most campuses
* Fitness Passport Program with exclusive access for you and your family to 230+ locations Australia wide
* Counselling support (EAP) and Health & Wellbeing initiatives throughout the year
* Meaningful work that drives positive social impact

Who We're Looking For:

* Deep understanding of TAFE/VET regulatory frameworks and the ASQA Self‑Assurance model, with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical guidance
* Experience developing compliant training and assessment strategies
* Confident working with educators and leaders across multiple campuses; credible, collaborative, and able to influence outcomes
* Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate funding contracts and related regulatory obligations
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
