About the Role:
Join our Marketing and Communications team in this full-time, 2-month fixed-term role, supporting the delivery of clear, consistent content across the College’s print and digital channels. This is a fast-paced role where you’ll be expected to hit the ground running, work with minimal supervision, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality communications to tight deadlines.
Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, you’ll work as part of a small, collaborative team of three, alongside the Manager and Graphic Designer, to produce professional content that supports the College’s brand and communications needs.
About you:
You are an experienced and professional communicator who works well in a small team and can also operate independently. You’re comfortable managing multiple competing priorities, meeting tight deadlines, and adapting quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
* Use creative skills to conceptualise and produce engaging and educational content for digital channels, including web, social, and email to connect with a diverse range of College stakeholders.
* Coordinate, write, and edit major College publications, including a Community Magazine and Yearbook.
* Draft, review, and provide advice on media releases, community communications, and internal communications.
* Edit a range of collateral required by different areas of the College, including Prospectuses, Co-curricular programs, Co-curricular and Curriculum Handbooks, and Annual Reports.
* Effectively interpret briefs from the Marketing and Communications team to deliver the required outcomes.
* Assist the Marketing and Communications team to build brand consistency, as well as adhere to existing brand guidelines.
* Assist the Marketing and Communications team to develop and implement strategic campaigns for social media.
* Develop written content from concept through to completion.
* Liaise and collaborate with a variety of project stakeholders, including graphic designers, teachers, managers, and suppliers.
* Participate in weekly team meetings, provide progress reports, and share new ideas.
* General business and marketing administration, as required.
* Coordinate School photography for publications, where required.
Essential qualifications/skills/attributes
* Highly developed Information Technology Skills, including in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and editing in Adobe Acrobat
* A talent and passion for writing creative and crystal clear copy
* Strong attention to detail in proofreading, spelling, grammar, and syntax
