$74,783 to $80,835 pro rata per annum + super
As a Horticulturist at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens (RTBG), you will:
- Develop and implement horticultural work programs.
- Maintain and improve plant collections, displays and estate grounds.
- Monitor and manage plant health.
- Operate and maintain automatic irrigation systems, horticultural equipment and machinery.
- Provide advice and liaise with staff, stakeholders and the public.
Our ideal candidate has
- High level knowledge and experience in maintaining horticultural displays and collections in a public garden setting.
- Knowledge and experience in the implementation of plant health and nutrition programs.
- High level competency in the use of horticultural machinery.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Certificate III in Horticulture (or equivalent).
