Position: Vocational Education Teacher Position Type : Full-Time Salary: $80,000 to $90,000 plus superannuation per annum Location: Darwin NT **** Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Vocational Education Teacher to join their team located in Darwin, Northern Territory.
Duties and Responsibilities: Validating and delivering Business course in accordance with nationally endorsed training products by ensuring relevancy, quality, and alignment with learner needs and current industry practices.
Conducting assessment using compliant, validated tools and methods, with student progress regularly monitored and timely, constructive feedback provided to support competency development and learner progression.
Engaging with industry to inform training and assessment strategies, ensuring alignment with evolving workplace technologies, practices, and expectations to enhance graduate employability.
Simulating real business scenarios that are embedded within training delivery to provide learners with authentic, scenario-based experiences that foster practical skills, critical thinking, and workplace readiness.
Adapting an appropriate learner support services to integrate individual needs, promoting retention, progression, and successful outcomes through personalised career guidance, targeted academic support, and access, and Maintaining an accurate recordkeeping and regulatory compliance through systematic documentation of attendance, assessment outcomes, and learner progression, ensuring alignment with ASQA and ESOS standards.
Requirements: Bachelor degree or higher qualification At least three (3) years experience as a Vocational Education Teacher Demonstrated knowledge of the Australian VET sector, including training packages, competency-based assessment, and compliance frameworks.
Sound understanding of ASQA, ESOS, and RTO compliance requirements.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse learner groups.
Experience supporting international students and culturally diverse cohorts (highly regarded).
Proficient in the use of learning management systems (LMS), digital learning tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain one).
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
