Senior Information Security Analyst (Deputy Local Security Officer) Sydney (AU)

Your Responsibilities

The Deputy Local Security Officer assists the Local Security Officer by acting as the local information and cyber security representative at LGT Crestone. The role is responsible for:

* Adopting, rolling out, and promoting related information and cyber group directives, policies, and work instructions, including Business Continuity Management and IT directives.
* Ensuring compliance with group directives, policies, and work instructions within the ISMS framework.
* Supervising and guiding local information and cyber security efforts, including technology risks based on LGT’s framework.
* Conducting control testing assurance activities, such as physical site audits.
* Serving as the local contact point for staff questions and concerns related to international SOS.
* Supporting the implementation of awareness measures as defined by the group and local requirements.
* Assessing and reviewing security-related requests for LSO approval.
* Reviewing technical concepts and recommending improvements.
* Managing security risks, including remediation tasks.
* Supporting audit and certification activities.
* Acting as the point of contact for AusCERT to stay informed about current threat situations.
* Keeping the LSO-Coordinator updated on local activities.
* Establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
* Supporting the identification, assessment, and monitoring of technology risks in line with local and global risk management frameworks.
* Contributing to Business Continuity Management planning and exercises, ensuring cyber risks are identified, assessed, and addressed, reflecting current threat landscapes such as ransomware, system outages, and data breaches.


Your Profile


Requirements

The Deputy LSO must be an information and cyber security specialist meeting the following requirements:

* Bachelor’s degree in Information Security or Computer Science, or 8 years of industry experience with at least 5 years in financial services.
* Strong knowledge of security frameworks, standards, architectures, risk assessment methodologies, and awareness training.
* Understanding of physical security and business continuity management.
* Risk-aware mindset with motivation to manage information and cyber security.
* Strong communication skills to convey complex concepts and directives.
* Excellent analysis, decision-making, and escalation management capabilities.
* Highly motivated to stay current with industry trends.
