JOIN OUR TEAM - The Waves Group is currently seeking dedicated and experienced Head Chef to join the team at The Waves Club Elliott Heads.
Ideal candidates must have the capability and desire to go above and beyond to deliver exceptional customer service, be able to multi-task and have a positive 'can do' attitude and flexible approach along with be a team player
Key Responsibilities:
As Head Chef, you will lead our kitchen team to deliver exceptional meals and dining experiences for our members. You will oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring food is consistently high-quality, professionally prepared, and served efficiently.
· Lead and inspire the kitchen team to deliver high-quality dishes
· Manage kitchen operations, including inventory and cost control
· Ordering and managing stock to ensure minimal wastage
· Ensuring compliance with company policies and Food Safety Standards
· Seasonal menu considerations to ensure food costs are managed
· Menu creation and updating specials regularly
· Weekly rostering
· Mentoring and training junior kitchen staff.
· Great Customer service skills and communication skills
· Reliable and flexible
· Contributing to a positive, team-orientated kitchen culture.
· Maintaining Workplace Health & Safety standards
What We're Looking For:
· Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role.
· Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating delicious food.
· Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
· Qualified Chef with minimum Cert 4 in Commercial Cookery
· Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
