About The Role
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Provide high-quality, expert and strategic advice to the Director of Medical Services (DMS), Deputy Director of Medical Services (DDMS), Director of Clinical Training (DCT) and Executive Director of Medical Services (EDMS) on professional practice, workforce management, development, education, training, employee contract management and policy development.
Lead and engage medical workforce stakeholders on the development, implementation, monitoring and review of workforce reform strategies.
Apply a project-management approach to complex workforce and education initiatives, leading projects to achieve organisation-wide outcomes.
Support the Director and Executive Director in budget planning and management to achieve unit priorities.
Drive organisational and business service-delivery improvements through monitoring and analysis of service-delivery outcomes.
About You
High-level understanding of trends and challenges in the medical workforce to deliver quality, safe, timely, patient- and family-centred care.
Successful track record in a leadership role facilitating effective change management and fostering a culture of organisational improvement.
Commitment to the required medical education of junior doctors and the innovative development of medical education at the facility, health service, state and national levels.
High-level communication, consultation, negotiation and interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders and expertise in preparing substantial and complex reports and briefings.
Ability to lead and manage staff in line with quality human resource practices, including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety and ethical behaviour.
Mandatory Requirements
