Job Title:
A seasoned professional is required to support the promotion of quality and safety across Grampians Health. As a key partner, this individual will collaborate with staff to drive improvement activities and foster a culture of excellence.
This role will focus on coaching and mentoring staff in the use of organisational risk and quality systems and processes. The successful applicant will provide high-quality support and advice to operational directorates and executive staff on governance frameworks.
The ideal candidate will lead investigations into serious incidents and thematic reviews, providing timely reports that align with established policies. They will also assist with safety processes related to incident investigations and legislative compliance to drive improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough investigations into serious incidents and thematic reviews, producing well-structured reports.
* Support the development and implementation of safety processes to improve incident response and legislative compliance.
* Provide expertise in systems thinking, operational excellence, change management, and data analytics to enhance governance and quality.
* Deliver education and training programs to staff on the use of the GH Incident Management database and promote compliance with relevant regulations and legislation.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to implement the Risk Management Framework in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
* A qualification in a clinical health profession is desirable but not essential; relevant AHPRA registration is required if applicable.
* Relevant post-graduate qualifications are advantageous to enhance expertise.
* Experience or qualifications in Quality, Risk Management, and Improvement are highly beneficial.
* Familiarity with safety analysis tools, such as Root Cause Analysis and the London Protocol, is an asset.
* Proven ability to coach and manage organisation-wide change effectively.
* Experience in developing and delivering education and training in a health or human services context, with strong communication skills to engage all members of the organisation.
