About the role
AHL is seeking a Housing Services Officer to join our small and capable Housing Services team based in Albany.
This role will see you delivering high quality tenancy and property management services. Your responsibilities will include:
- assisting with the allocation of vacant properties
- lease sign-ups
- conducting property inspections and condition assessments
- overseeing payments
- carrying out tenancy exit procedures
- reporting to the Housing Services Team Leader
- focusing on helping tenants sustain tenancies, while ensuring properties are well maintained
- handling a range of administrative duties including reporting, addressing complaints, adhering to compliance requirements, and maintaining accurate property and tenancy data in all required systems
As AHL is a registered provider of community housing, the role operates under the Residential Tenancies Act 1987 and the WA Regulatory Framework for Community Housing.
About you
You will form part of a team of property and tenancy professionals in the delivery of our housing operations.
- Demonstrated capacity to learn new skills quickly, be a self-directed learner and be prepared to actively participate in ongoing learning
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including a limited number of overnight regional trips per year
- Demonstrated ability to establish appropriate professional networks
- Clear National Police clearance issued within the last three months
- Well-developed computer skills including use of the Microsoft Office suite
