Senior Agricultural Technician
A vacancy exists for a qualified and experienced Agricultural Technician, to work in horticulture out of the Griffith area.
Minimum of five years relevant experience and a Diploma equivalent, or 8 years relevant experience required.
Salary package - $110,000 per annum, plus superannuation.
Duties include:
· Examining various soil characteristics of farmland to identify most effective use
· Assisting in developing new methods of planting, fertilising, harvesting and processing crops to achieve maximum land usage
· Identify pathogens both micro-organisms, parasites, fungi, insects and the like
· Advising management on farming techniques and assisting in the development of new procedures
· Ability to supervise and instruct junior staff and professional staff
