The Company
Our client is an emerging Australian gold development company focused on advancing high-quality projects in Western Australia. With a substantial resource base and a clear strategy to transition into production, the company is progressing technical studies, project optimisation and development planning for its flagship asset. The business combines experienced mining leadership with strong capital markets support and is positioning itself to become part of the next generation of Australian gold producers.
The Opportunity
As the project moves toward development readiness, the company is seeking to appoint a Commercial Lead to establish and lead the commercial framework for the project. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the role will work closely with the technical team to deliver viable technical and commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Procurement planning and tendering for major project work packages
* Negotiate and manage key EPCM, engineering, construction and supply contracts
* Support cost control, forecasting and change management alongside project controls
* Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies across the project
About You
You are an experienced commercial professional with a strong background in mining or major resource development projects. You bring demonstrated experience supporting capital projects from study phases through to development and construction. You have proven capability in contract negotiation, procurement strategy and commercial risk management within complex project environments. Your ability to work collaboratively with technical, project and executive stakeholders will enable you to drive disciplined commercial outcomes. You will likely hold tertiary qualifications in commerce, engineering, law, quantity surveying or a related discipline.
