Senior Hydrogeologist Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced senior hydrogeologist to lead our team in Charlotte. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in groundwater and surface water studies, with expertise in complex site characterizations, leachate and gas assessments, and compliance evaluations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage full project lifecycles, including planning, budgeting, client relations, and technical execution.
* Conduct complex site characterizations, groundwater/surface water studies, leachate and gas assessments, and compliance evaluations.
* Develop detailed environmental reports, permit applications, and technical documentation.
* Lead and support proposals for complex, high-value projects.
* Mentor junior staff and contribute to knowledge-sharing across disciplines.
* Build lasting relationships with clients and represent the company at industry events and professional organizations.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Geology or related field.
* Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
* Experience in nuclear and/or waste management markets is a plus.
* Professional Geologist (PG) license in North Carolina.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; attention to detail; and ability to meet deadlines.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word, and ability to learn additional software applications.
