ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday to Thursday on a day shift roster (40 hours per week). This role will be based at our Worsley Alumina Refinery which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (35 minutes)
Please note that accommodation is not provided on site, so this role operates on a daily drive-in, drive-out (DIDO) basis. Employees are ideally located within approximately one hour's drive of Collie.
As the Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for safely delivering scheduled maintenance and repair work in line with operational plans, while contributing to equipment reliability and continuous improvement.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:
* Carrying out mechanical maintenance on the following
o Valves and process pipework
o Pumps and pressurised vessels
o Tanks and Filtration Equipment
o Structural and hydraulic equipment
* Work using SAP instructions
* Reporting and documenting work activities to support asset history
* Supporting investigations and root cause analysis of faults
* Identifying opportunities to improve processes and reduce downtime
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
* Applying safe work practices in a heavy industry or refinery environment
* Following planned maintenance schedules and accurately recording work
* Communicating effectively across teams and with external partners
* Contributing to problem-solving and equipment reliability initiatives
Qualifications for this position are:
* Australian recognised Mechanical Fitter trade certificate, Cert III in Mechanical Engineering (Fitter)
* Demonstrated written and oral English language proficiency
* C class drivers license
Preferred
* Accredited training in Working in Confined Spaces & Working at Heights
* High Risk Work Licences, including; Forklift (LF), Elevated Work Platform (EWP), Basic Rigging (RB),
