Job Overview
Toll Group is looking for an experienced Storeperson in Edinburgh, SA locations. The Store Person Grade 2 has proven and demonstrated skills to the level required of this grade and is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of a specific site for DWDSS operations. This position provides crucial support to the efficient operation of warehousing activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching Defence equipment, supplies, and materials.
Accountabilities
* Able to understand detailed instructions and work from procedures.
* Able to co-ordinate work in a team environment under limited supervision.
* Responsible for quality of their own work.
* Possesses sound interpersonal and communication skills.
* Indicative of the tasks which an employee at this level may perform are the following:
* Licensed operation of all appropriate materials handling equipment e.g. all types of forklifts.
* Use of tools and equipment within the warehouse (basic non-trades maintenance).
* Computer terminal operation at a level higher than that of an employee at Storeworker grade 2 (e.g. Run and action reports, raise and maintain DR's/MR's/EME fixes).
Primary Responsibilities and Decision/Authority Level
* Support DWDSS contract from a site operational warehouse perspective.
* Attend site meetings as required.
* Committed to maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to WHS standards.
Prerequisites and Requirements
To succeed in this role, it is expected that you will have:
Knowledge/Experience
* Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or similar operational environment is desirable, though not essential for this entry-level position.
* Must be an Australian Citizen and eligible for (and maintain) an Australian AGSVA Defence Security Clearance.
Technical/Professional Skills Required
* Safety Orientation: Committed to maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to WHS standards.
* Teamwork & Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team, contributing to the success of the warehouse operation.
* Time Management: Efficiently managing workload and meeting deadlines in a time-sensitive environment.
* Attention to Detail: Consistently ensuring accuracy in all aspects of stock management, order fulfillment, and reporting.
* Physical fitness is necessary to meet demands of the job (manual handling, lifting, carrying).
Qualifications – Education And/or Professional
* Valid forklift license (if required), or willingness to obtain one.
* Drivers Licence Car (C).
* Security clearance of personnel engaged in the planning and delivery of Services in relation to:
o Defence Logistics Network strategic planning – Negative Vetting 2;
o SPA – Negative Vetting 1;
o Armoury, Weapons or Controlled Repair Parts – Negative Vetting 1;
o For all other personnel routinely engaged in the planning and delivery of Services on a Site – Baseline.
