The Role
The company is experiencing growth and is striving to expand its Hydraulic Services capability. The Senior Hydraulic Services Designer will be self‑motivated, have a passion for Hydraulic Services, and recognise that with success comes reward. They meet with stakeholders and clients at the early stages of a project and provide early space planning advice and concept design.
They provide detailed design and documentation for a range of service streams, including:
* Potable Cold Water
* Recycled Stormwater
* Sewer, Grease and Trade Waste Drainage
* Backwater and Greywater Treatment and Reuse Systems
* Stormwater Drainage, including Onsite Detention
* Sub‑soil Drainage
* Sanitary, Grease and Trade Waste Plumbing
* Hot and Cold Water Generation and Piping Systems
* Natural and LP Gas Systems
* Fire Hose Reels
* Fire Hydrants
They seek expressions of interest from experienced Hydraulic Designers who wish to take on a role that involves providing expert advice in all facets of the services. The candidate will be required to consult across all phases of project delivery from inception, design and completion. The Senior Hydraulic Services Designer will be expected to conceptualise systems, discuss and agree these designs with the Building Services Leader, liaise with clients, produce detailed and concise designs and oversee the drafting of these designs. Additional tasks will include written correspondence to authorities and drafting technical specifications. You will liaise with authorities and other disciplines and attend meetings with stakeholders as required.
The Requirements
* Minimum of 5 years of site experience as a qualified plumber and preferably some experience as a plumbing supervisor
* Associate and or Diploma in Plumbing Services achieved through TAFE NSW
* Minimum of 6 years of experience in a locally based design office
* Sound knowledge in interpreting the Building Code of Australia, relevant Australian and NZ Standards and local Codes and Guidelines
* Sound knowledge of Microsoft programmes, including Word, Excel and Office Project
* Excellent oral and written communication and a high proficiency in Excel spreadsheets
* Be self‑motivated and work independently and collaboratively with other staff and colleagues as part of a team of consultants
