We are seeking a JuniorCivil Engineer to join our team in the Asset Integrity Team in Newcastle.
In this role, you will maintain project documentation, carry out site inspections, and ensure compliance with project specifications while working closely with Senior/Principal Engineers and project teams to support smooth project execution.
This role requires you to travel to regional areas, including the Newcastle /Hunter region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Application of engineering principles, techniques, and methods to engineering projects.
* Responsible for carrying out engineering analysis, design, and computation
* Responsible for carrying out structural inspection/audits of critical assets, plants, and equipment.
* Collaborating with project staff and seeking further advice from the Project Engineer as required
* Complying with and implementing company procedures, policies, and directions of the Project Manager and Senior Management.
* Keep up to date with the latest technological advances/innovative solutions for client problems.
* To abide by company policies and procedures as stated in the SRG OHS Policy and Safety Management System.
The successful applicant will ideally have:
* Degree in Civil Engineering or similar with minimum 2-3 years of experience
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
* Previous experience in the mining, energy, and resource sector
* Sound knowledge of asset management principles.
* Team player (in region and cross-region).
* Able to quickly grasp technical concepts.
* Commitment to a high-performance culture.
