I'm partnering with a well-established, highly regulated financial services organisation to appoint a Governance Manager. Reporting into senior operations leadership, this role will play a key part in strengthening governance frameworks, uplifting risk practices, and embedding compliance into day-to-day business operations.
This position works cross-functionally with operational teams and central risk/compliance functions to ensure regulatory obligations are met while supporting the business with practical, commercially focused guidance. It's a broad, hands-on role with exposure across monitoring, controls, and policy uplift.
Key responsibilities:
* Support adherence to relevant financial services licences and regulatory obligations
* Assist with financial crime compliance activities, including monitoring inputs, reporting, and record management
* Contribute to the oversight of cross-border and investor-related regulatory requirements where applicable
* Maintain compliance frameworks, registers, and internal governance processes
* Perform reviews and checks to identify control gaps, risks, or exceptions
* Coordinate due diligence and ongoing monitoring of counterparties and third parties
* Act as a key contact for day-to-day governance and compliance queries
* Escalate incidents, breaches, or potential issues to relevant stakeholders
* Partner with risk and legal teams to support policy development and regulatory change implementation
* Deliver and support training, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the business
About you:
* 5 + years' experience in risk, compliance, or regulatory roles within financial services
* Strong understanding of core regulatory obligations and financial crime frameworks
* Exposure to investor, tax, or cross-jurisdictional requirements is advantageous
* Strong attention to detail, sound judgement, and a proactive mindset
* Confident working across multiple stakeholders in a dynamic environment
