The Role
We are looking for a passionate and reliable Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. Reporting directly to the Head Chef, you will play a crucial role in running the kitchen, executing our seasonal menu, and stepping up to lead the team during the Head Chef's absence.

Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations and assume full responsibility of the kitchen in their absence.
* Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in line with our restaurant's standards.
* Help manage inventory, control wastage, and assist with ordering and stock rotation.
* Train, mentor, and supervise junior kitchen staff and apprentices.
* Contribute creative ideas for seasonal menu changes and daily specials.
* Ensure strict compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and WHS regulations.
Skills & Experience
* Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery.
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef, or a strong Chef de Partie looking to take the next step in their career.
* A strong work ethic and the ability to remain calm and focused during busy services.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* A passion for high-quality, seasonal produce.
* Reliable transport is essential, as we are located in Wamboin and not accessible via public transport.
