Job Description
You will be part of the North Region Water Planning Team, collaborating on the development of water plans across catchments for sustainable water management. Your key duties and responsibilities include:
* Conducting water planning activities within a Region, coordinating input from associated multi-disciplinary teams and delivering output for water planning functions and business objectives.
* Drafting policy documents and recommendations for the development of water plans, supporting instruments and other water planning documents in line with Queensland Water Act 2000 requirements.
* Undertaking technical reviews to inform the development of water management solutions and policy, liaising with technical experts from various disciplines to inform the technical review.
* Undertaking desktop research, data collection, interpretation and analysis to inform the assessment of a range of water management and policy issues.
* Providing support with consultation with internal and external stakeholders.
* Preparing policy documents, briefing notes and other correspondence as required.
* Contributing to the analysis and interpretation of existing National and State Government strategies, policies and legislation in relation to efficient and sustainable management of Queensland's water resources.
* Contributing to a positive team culture by supporting team members and sharing information.
